FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a directed sole source procurement to Jetstream of Houston under the authority of FAR 6.302. This procurement is a small business set aside; all responsible small business sources may submit a bid for review. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is N00244-98-Q-0016. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 3569 and the business size is 500 employees. The agency need is for a two (2) each high pressure water jet machines. The equipment must be portable, electric, and have a 20,000 psi jetcapacity. The Jetstream of Houston mdl #1215E, p/n: 97206. The equipment shall have the following specifications: The basic system includes a pump, frame, and the following -- heavy duty base, 460 volt open drip motor & 460 volt across the line starter (start, stop, jog control buttons, rain tight enclosure, circuit breaker disconnect, hour meter, & tooth belt drive w/enclosed guard).; plunger pump w/5000, 7500, 10000, or 15000 psi fluid end, swing down manifold, low water pressure shutdown, automatic water packing lube, safety 30K pressure gage, & rupture disc assembly w/3 discs; electrically operated diverter valve system, 25 micron water filter; heavy duty 14" dia wheels, 6" casters, w/handle; lifting bail; hose rack; one foot operated control gun, three 100' supply hose, three hose to hose adapters, three flexlance 40 OD plastic coated 50' 15000 psi WP; three supply hose to flexlance adapters, three flexlance to flexlance nipples and ten cleaning nozzles. Unit should also include a training video and operational maintenance manual. Delivery shall be within five weeks of cutting the purchase order and delivered FOB destination to San Diego CA.
