K -- INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE TO MONITOR HVAC SYSTEMS SOL 9736SOL0043 POC Mr. Lloyd McGill, (202)287-3238, Ms. Paulette Pressley, (202)287-3238 The Smithsonian Institution, Office of Physical Plant, Washington, DC, is seeking Offerors with the capability to a provide a system composed of software and hardware necessary to monitor, edit and control the HVAC equipment, including sensors and controlling devices. System must be able to interact and be fully compatible with the current Landis & Staefa operating system now controlling the HVAC system and the existing field panels. The Successful Offeror shall be required to provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision to furnish and install a completely operational system. The system must have the ability to provide necessary information to enable sound management decisions. The system shall provide data, both current and historical, for temperature, humidity, on/off status and all alarms, immediate access to no less than six (6) months of data and the capacity to store such data. The system shall have the ability to read ASCI and ASCI II formats. The system must be capable of down-loading information to a standard suite of software to allow processing. The system must work seamlessly with standard off-the-shelf word processing, spread sheet and database programs that form an industry standard office software suite currently in use at the Office of Physical Plant (OPP), i.e., Microsoft Office 97 and Office Perfect. Offerors shall be evaluated on criteria which include traing, system specifications, references, partnering and price. Offerors will be required to demonstrate conclusively their ability to provide a complete working system. The short discription provided herein is not to be construed as a limit on the Offeror's ability to provide all necessary requirements of the solicitation.
