The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0208 with Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company (LASC) in Marietta, Georgia to procure 71 Auxiliary Switch Matrix (ASM) units to support FY99 installations of 71 Global Positioning Systems (GPSs) in P-3C aircrafts. This ASM was designed in conjunction with the P3-C Communications Improvement Program (CIP), a common box also required in the GPS program. LASC is the only known source with the necessary technical expertise, engineering drawings, data and experience to perform this effort. The Administrative Contracting Officer will conduct negotiations with LASC for this effort. (0302)
