Compressor/Condensing Unit, Seawater cooled with a refrigeration
producing capacity of 1.65 tons, using refrigerant HFC-134A, suitable
for marine use. Each unit shall include one (1) each semi-hermetic,
electric motor driven, multiple cylinder, reciprocating compressor; one
(1) each Refrigerant Receiver; (1) each Seawater Cooled Condenser; one
(1) each Heat Exchanger; one (1) each Control Panel limit and safety
controls; pressure and temperature instrumentation and all
interconnecting piping and wiring. Unit will need to be disassembled to
fit through marine doors with an opening of 26" X 66" and 6" radius
corners. The assembled unit size shall not be larger than 40" width X
62" depth X 67" height. The unit shall consists of (1) Compressor, 1.65
tons, HFC-134A, semi-hermetic, 440 volts, 3 phase, 60 HZ, with
isolators, automatic capacity reduction, crankcase oil heater; (2)
Refrigerant Receiver, horizontal type, 120% capacity of system charge
at 120 degree F; (3) Seawater Cooled Condenser, shell and tube type,
HFC-134A, tubes 90-10 CUNI, zinc protection, shell seamless carbon
steel, with removable bolt-on heads for maintenance. Heads to have NPT
connections, double liquid drains on bottom, 105 degrees F condensing
temperature and 90 degrees F seawater inlet temperature; (4) Heat
Exchanger, capable to superheat the suction gas before entering the
compressor and to subcool the liquid refrigerant to eliminate flashing
in the liquid line; (5) Control Panel, electrical controls to operate
system in manual or automatic modes, front cabinet mounted compressor
refrigerant suction pressure gauge, front cabinet mounted compressor
refrigerant discharge pressure gauge, front cabinet mounted fault
indicating lights for the condensing unit to note compressor high
refrigerant pressure cutout, condensate water failure, and compressor
motor overload, high refrigerant pressure cutout, water failure switch
for condeser to shut down the compressor in case of seawater supply
failure, water regulating valve for condenser to control condenser
seawater flow and pressure gauges and thermometers for seawater inlet
and outlet of condenser; (6) Moisture Indicator which visually
indicates the presence of a safe level of moisture in the refrigerant;
(7) Compressor Relief Valve set to relieve excessive pressure and
discharge back into the compressor suction; (8) Liquid Line Filter
Dehydrator to permit replacement of cartridges without the need to cut
refrigerant lines or undoing braced connection; (9) Solenoid Valve,
liquid refrigerant line, for pump down, normally closed valve,
interchangeable coil, 115 VAC, 1 phase, 60 HZ; (10) Rupture Disc for
emergency relief valve; (11) Regulating Valve, saltwater application to
provide correct flow thru condenser under all operating conditions, for
seawater service; (12) Strainer, compatible with HFC-134A refrigerant;
(13) Crankcase Oil Heater, 115 VAC, 1 phase, 60 HZ, to automatically
de-energize upon compressor start-up. Quantity sixteen (16) each.
Engineering drawings, Assembly drawings, Piping diagrams and Technical
Manuals will also be required. It is intended to award a firm-fixed
price contract. Delivery of materials shall be made within thirty (30)
days after the date of contract award. Partial deliveries will be
acceptable. When calling for a solicitation package, be prepared to
state your name, address, and solicitation number. Requests for
Solicitation packages may also be faxed to (410) 762-6056. The
