This will be an open-continuous (Evergreen) Special Item Number. Offers may be submitted at anytime. This requirement will be synopsized annually. The definition of a New Technology Special Item Number (SIN) is a new product or an upgraded product (as to be virtually a new peoduct) made available to the commercial and government marketplace. This product must meet the Special Provision as outlined below: Item (products or services) that provide a new finction/attribute/service, items currently in the supply system which meets the needs of Government customers, or items that significantly improved a existing function/attribute/service if the items were not immediately added to the schedule. The New Technology SIN 630-1014 is intended for temporary placement of new items which can be characterized under this schedule, until the items can be formally placed on an existing or newly created SIN on this schedule. Offerors must understand that there is no implied guarantee tha the item offered will be recognized and accepted as new technology. All items will be reviewed for acceotance by the Government's technical experts. Please NOTE: If you are a current contractor, you will be given the opportunity to offer the above mentioned SIN through contract modification, there is no need to respond to this notice. (0302)
