The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the procurement of the FY 1997 and FY 1998 Product (PSP). The PSP provides for engineering services aimed at curing service revealed nonspecification deficiencies by improving the safety, reliability, maintainability, and durability of both the -406 and -408 configuration of the Pegasus engine. This PSP is jointly funded by the UK MoD and the US Government, and managed by the UK Mod and the Naval Air Systems Command entitled "AV-8B/GR5 Arrangement" of 27 Jul 81. (0303)
