CBD Submission Nos. 076407 and 079976, dated 05/22/97 and 06/03/97,
respectively. 2. Delete prior portfolio examples provided in the
prequalification package. 3. There will be seven specific portfolio
areas solicited: Mail Operations (including Engineering), Marketing
(Retail, Sales, Commercial Segment Marketing, Expedited Products and
International Products), IT Infrastructure, Finance, Payroll, Human
Resources and Other Enabling Functions (Consumer Advocate, Facilities,
Labor, Legal, Inspector General, Inspection Service, Purchasing and
Materials, as well as other administrative areas which currently do not
have enough technology demand at this time to be viewed as a
portfolio). 4. Correction is made to delete the requirement that the US
Postal Service reserves the right to award no more than two portfolio
areas to any one supplier/partner. 5. A best value decision by the US
Postal Service will determine the number of awards to any one supplier.
6. Not allportfolio areas may be awarded. 7. Companies seeking
consideration as a prequalified source as a result of this amendment
must complete the prequalification package posted on the Internet on
May 22, 1997 at www.usps.gov/business/wantad.htm. 8. Responses are due
not later than November 12, 1997. 9. Earlier responses are permissible
and encouraged. 10. Suppliers already submitting prequalification
