Postal Service intends to award one or more Indefinite Quantity
Architect/Engineer contract for design, document preparation & contract
administration on individual projects at USPS owned and/or leased
facilities. Project types include, repairs, alterations, expansions,
and site adaptation of USPS CADD bsed standard plans. The contract for
architect-engineer services will be for two years with a guaranteed
minimum amount of $5,000. The contract may be renewed for three
one-year periods. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed
$250,000. The total contract amount cannot exceed $2,500,000. This
contract is to cover the South Georgia District (Macon, GA) area;
however, it may be used occasionally within other areas of the
southeastern United States. Firms that have the qualifications to
perform the services described herein are invited to submit two (2)
copies each of completed SF 255 "Architect-Engineer and Related
Services Questionnaire for Specific Project," SF 254
"Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire" for itself and
SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above
not later than December 12, 1997. The selection will be conducted with
the combined use of the submitted SF 255 and SF 254s. Interested firms
with more than one office must indicate on its SF 255 the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms
must have a minimum of two registered architects, have a minimum of two
years Autocadd experience, and must be able to provide the service of
at least one of each of the following disciplines (each registered in
Georgia): mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering. Any
of the engineering disciplines may be provided through outside
consulant firms. Consideration will be given to firms responding to
this advertisement in accordance with foregoing instructions in the
following order of preference: (1) within one hundred (100) miles of
Macon, GA, (2) State of Georgia, (3) outside State of Georgia. There
isno restriction on the geographical location of consultants. Firms
must provide proof of or demonstrate the ability to obtain errors and
omissions insurance, minimum of $200,000 per claim, with submittals
(two copies). It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage,
or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon, or resulting
from, award of this contract. No other general notification of this
project will be made. Submittals will not be retained or returned. This
