Dominguez -- 201-468-7150 17. Indefinite Quantity Contract -- Removal
and/or closure of existing and installation of new above
ground/underground storage tanks (AST/UST) or natural gas conversion.
The work will include materials, labor and equipment for the
installation, replacement, repair, retrofit, removal and/or closure of
underground/above ground, basement and vaulted storage tank systems.
The work may be performed at any USPS owned or leased facility, as
further detailed in the solicitation. The work may be performed at any
facility located within the Northern New Jersey District, Counties of
Bergen Essex, Morris, Passaic, Middlesex, Union, Sussex, Hudson and
Warren. Contractors must have: a minimum of three (3) years experience
in UST/AST removal, closure, installation, replacement, repair,
retrofit and natural gas conversion; the capability of working at least
three to four concurrent jobs; and must possess all proper
certifications as required by federal, state and local laws. Competency
requirement must be submitted with your proposal. Failure to do so may
adversely affect consideration of your proposal. The work may include
any of the items detailed in the "Unit Price Schedule". Offers will
consist of a single multiplier. The multiplier will be applicable to
each and every item of work listed in the Unit Price Schedule set forth
in the specifications. Award will be made in accordance with Section M
of the solicitation. The Postal Service reserves the right to make
multiple awards. The minimum cumulative total dollar value of all work
orders will be at least $10,000.00; the maximum cumulative total
dollar value of all work orders may not exceed $3,000,000.00. The total
contract may extend no longer than two (2) years. NOTE: A proposal
guarantee in the amount of $20,000.00 must be submitted with your
proposal. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November
24 1997. Requests for solicitation packages must be accompanied by a
company check or USPS Money Order in the amount of $100.00 made payable
to the USPSDisbursing Officer. Send request to New York Facilities

NON-REFUNDABLE. Sealed Offers are to be returned to USPS, NY Facilities

Smith and will be received prior to but not later than December 15 1997
at 3:00 PM. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers
received, the identity of offerors, the amount of any offer or relative
standing of the offers will NOT be disclosed to ANYONE until time of
