Kilby, Contracting Officer Notice of intent to procure the development of an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) from Radian Technology, 4211 Burton Drive, Santa Clara, CA 95045, pursuant to the authority granted by FAR 6.302-1 (one responsible source). The ASIC will be an upgraded replacement for an existing ASIC which can no longer be manufactured. The existing ASIC is currently being used in the USN ULQ-21 Instantaneous Frequency Memory (IFM) Module, PN 1511AS149. The upgraded replacement ASIC must be totally compatible with the IFM. The digital processing performed by the ASIC takes 15 nanoseconds to convert the video output of the frequency into digital frequency word. This unique ASIC utilizes both digital and analog circuits, and it determines the overall response time of the IFM. Total requirement is for 1 each Application Specific Integrated Circuit. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the Naval Air Weapons Station, Point Mugu, CA 93042. Delivery shall be no later than 330 days after date of contract.
