A -- POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT TO DESIGN AND CONDUCT A TRACER RELEASE UNDERNEAT DUE 010598 POC Harold Thistle -- 406-329-3981 or 406-329-3900 The USDA, Forest Service, Missoula Technology & Development Center is requesting proposals to design and conduct a tracer release underneath a forest canopy. The work will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be a design and procurement phase in which the contractor will advise on the design of an SF6 tracer release in a Ponderosa pine canopy. The contractor will advise on procurement of all materials and equipment necessary to perfform this release. The second phase will be field support. The contractor will show extensive experience in the use of SF6 syringe samplers and will be able to provide these samplers. Extensive experience in the operation of micro-flow controllers, GC analysis and the conductance of sophisticated field experiments is required. The contractor must be an AMS CCM. (0330)
