Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement as cited in the title
of this announcement. Related work includes, but is not limited to:
structural steel, metal siding, mechanical (including split system air
conditioning), sprinkler system, other electrical, and carpentry. The
SIC code for this action is 1542. Estimated dollar range is between
$200K to $700K. The deadline to request a copy of the solicitation is
DECEMBER 11, 1997. Only FAXed and/or written requests will be accepted.

aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB).
FAA will provide a solicitation to the first 15 SEDB firms responding
to this announcement on a first come basis only. Firms must already be
certified to participate under the 8(a) program on the due date for
submission of offers. A copy of SBA 8(a) program on the due date for
submission of offers. A copy of SBA 8(a) certification letter will be
required with the submission ofoffers as evidence of eligibility. The
following information is for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent quaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
