Pierce, Contracting Officer, (301) 227-1904 The initial synopsis published in the Commerce Business Daily stated that "tie points must be distributed according to NIMA specifications", and noted that tasking would include "triangulation which includes the generation of an AMSD(1) with format concurrent with NIMA E1018 specifications". Both referenced sets of specifications are classified, and are not available for public viewing. Since (1) it is unlikely that firms will be able to respond to the initial synopsis without access to the referenced specifications, (2) NIMA is not prepared to follow the initial market research synopsis with a procurement for Geopositioning, and (3) it is unfair to allow firms to expend scarce resources in light of #1 and #2, the Agency has determined that this Sources Sought synopsis be cancelled. The Request for Information regarding Geopositioning is hereby cancelled in its entirety. (0335)
