D -- NATIONAL STUDENT DATA LOAN SYSTEM (NSLDS) DUE 122697 POC Contact Carolyn Dickens, Contract Specialist at 202-708-8560 D -- Due to the delay in issuing competitive Request for Proposals, the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education contemplates on a sole source basis, extending the current contract (LC93015001) for the National Student Data Loan System (NSLDS) until December 31, 1998.The proposed extension for the NSLDS is to continue services for all services until March 31, 1998, in which the Schedule D portion is expected to be transferred to the Virtural Data Center Contractor, Computer Sciences Corporation. However, Schedules A and C will continue through December 31, 1998. See Numbered Note 22. (0336)
