The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis with Quantar Technology, Inc., 3004 Mission Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060-5700 for a replacement part for a Quantar photon counting imaging system, which is already owned by NIST and requires a new imaging tube. This photon counting system is designed to operate with this particular imaging tube. The imaging tube is Model 3451A, mepsicron-II (TM) imaging PMT, multi-MCP advanced version, with standard S-25 type photocathode. Complete with customized voltage divider. Includes the option 050, BA-1 (bialkali type photocathode in place of standard S-25. No RFQ package will be available. Notice expires December 22, 1997. (0339)
