The Government requires the services to establish rodent production colonies and produce specific pathogen free, genetically defined transgenic, targeted mutation animals for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences research and testing program. The Government will provide at least three breeding pairs for each line to be derived and bred. The Government will also provide information on genotyping and initial breedup procedures for establishing production colonies. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities, required to perform the required services. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 19, 1997. If this date slips, the closing date will be adjusted.
