The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of NOAA Corp Operations (ONCO) has a requirement for shipboard Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) equipment to operate in Sea Areas A1, A2 and A3. The equipment quoted and supplied shall be Type Accepted (at time of submission of bid) by the FCC for GMDSS use and conform to the general requirements of CFR 47 Section 80.1101(a) and the specific performance requirements in CFR 47 Section 80.1101(b) and (c) for GMDSS equipment. All GMDSS equipment supplied shall be of the same manufacturer and consist of the following: VHF Radiotelephone with built in DSC and DSC Watch Receiver, shall meet SOLAS 1992 requirements Chapter 4 Part C, Regulation 7.1 and 7.1.2. Est. quantity 26 each. MF/HF Radio Transceiver with 150 watts minimum transmit power, shall meet SOLAS 1992 requirements Chapter 4 Part C, Regulation 10.2.1. Est. Quantity 12 each. MF/HF DSC Terminal/Controller, shall meet SOLAS 1992 requirement Chapter 4 Part C Regulation 10.2.1. Est. quantity 12 each. Delivery shall be 60 days after date of contract. Delivery shall be to the Atlantic Marine Center, Norfolk, Virginia. F.O.B. Point shall be Destination. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
