The Volpe Center plans to procure through Simplified Acquisition procedures, a sole source from DaCar, Whitinsville, MA, to support the center in two areas, the Air Mobility Command (AMC) and the United Kingdom, Ministry of Defense (UK MOD). The Center is seeking assistance to evaluate logistics requirements to plan, facilitate, validate, and improve upon functional Air Force systems, and evaluate UK MOD interface aircraft engine maintenance data on-board aircraft technology in order to improve the acquisition, transmission, display, and fault diagnostics data. Specific tasks required are, but are not limited to: (1) Information Sharing System -- The "Broker" system which enables multiple AMC logistics systems to share information via a single point of entry (2) Development of an AMC Logistics Database (3) Development of an Interactive Web Based System (4) Engine Study (5) Technology Evaluation (6) Evaluation of MADAR technology (7) MOD Database Development -- an automated acquisition system using an SQL database which is Intranet based, has the capability to interface with queries on the Intranet to an existing MOD passenger database and (8) Logistics Studies. Small Business firms classified under SIC Code 7373 interested in proposing on this requirement must demonstrate in writing no later than 15 days from the date of publication, that: (1) Their company has had some involvement with the AMC and the UK MOD; and (2) Are familiar with the "Broker" system, which is the development of a repository for extended neutral data formats and a comprehensive plan for AMC systems architecture. Small Business firms will be required to submit documentation in support of the above for evaluation prior to receiving a solicitation.
