SOL WASC8-596 POC Randall Brown (vocie) (206) 526-6226/fax (206) 526-6025 Sources sought to provide policy program assistance services for NOAA's Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary (CINMS) in Santa Barbara, California. Term of contract will be for one base year with one option period of one year. The CINMS encompasses 1,252 squre nautical miles of ocean and nearshore habitat surrounding the four northern Channel Islands and Santa Barbara Island. The Sanctuary provides resource protection through research, education, and conservation programs that foster public understanding and stewardship of this ecosystem. CINMS requires policy program assistance services to produce reports on a variety of resource management and conservation issues directly affecting the CINMS. Contractor will draft correspondence/reports; participate and draft summaries of workshops/conferences related to CINMS' mission; track and summarize California legislation; create process for information exchange with other federal/state agencies; and track emergencing resource management issues. Sources responding to this notice must posess master's degree in natural resource management, marine affairs, public policy, or related field. This is a 100% small business set-aside, requests from large businesses will not be accepted. State if small business on request for solictation.
