COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF DECEMBER 15,1997 PSA#1992USDA Forest Service, P.O. Box 25127, Lakewood, CO 80225 38 -- FAHR-ROADCRUSHER AND ACCESSORIES SOL RFP RMAST-98-033 POC
Contact Barbara Hayden, 303/275-5273, Contracting Officer Sharon Miner
The U.S. Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Region, intends to contract
with FAHR Industries, New Brunswick, Canada to purchase a
FAHR-RoadCrusher, spare parts and training using commercial item
procedures. FAHR Industries is the only known source for this portable
mobile rock crusher that lifts, crushes, and re-processes road
material (up to 16" diameter rock) to provide an improved roadway
gradation. Other equipment has been tested but did not provide the
satisfactory results of the RoadCrusher, were unsuitable for the forest
road conditions, or were too costly in comparison to the RoadCrusher.
The RoadCrusher is intended for use in Region 2 and 3 National Forests.
