The United States Postal Service is seeking qualified firms interested in being considered for providing pre-fabricated modular buildings to support its Modular Building Program. Modular buildings will be utilized as a cost-efficient means to satisfy Postal Service needs for space in selected locations. These buildings are to be fabricated in a highly controlled factory environment, according to Postal provided specifications, then transported to the appropriate site by the manufacturer. A separate contractor will be responsible for preparing the site to receive the building upon delivery. Delivery includes a requirement for the contractor to deliver module units ordered (for delivery) throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Washington DC Metro Areas. This geographic area includes the states of Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky (including some counties in Indiana), West Virginia, North and South Carolina. Individual orders will specify deliver requirements, which includes actual delivery location. The solicitation (Requests For Proposals) will be issued on or about December 18th, 1997. Date for return of proposals will be on or about January 19th, 1997.
