Y -- CONSTRUCT MUNITIONS COMPLEX AND AIRCRAFT SUPPORT SHOPS, DANNELLY FIELD ANG, MONTGOMERY, AL SOL DAHA01 98 B 0001 DUE 030398 POC MSgt Lanier (334) 213-7515, Contract Specialist Project consists of furnishing all labor,materials and equipment required to perform all work in strict accordance with specifications, schedules, and drawings for the construction of an aircraft munitions and support equipment complex. The work consists of the construction of five separate, single story structures with the following characteristics: An Administrative Building with concrete slab-on-grade, masonry walls, structures of steel columns, beams, and bar joists, insulated metal panel roofing, hollow metal doors and frames, coiling overhead doors, masonry and gypsum board on steel stud partitions, insulation, metal roof deck, electrical systems and HVAC systems. A Segregated Magazine, which is similar to the first (above) with these exceptions: load bearing masonry walls, single ply membrane roofing and three pair of swinging doors that provide the sole means of access. The Munitions Maintenance Building, and two Igloos with cast-in-place concrete construction (floors, walls and roof deck), two-feet minimum earth cover, insulation, custom fabricated, steel plated, sliding horizontal doors, masonry facing of exterior (exposed) walls, electrical and HVAC systems. The first building described above additionally consists of aluminum framed windows, interior floor finishes, S.A.T. ceilings, marker boards, toilet partitions and accessories and plumbing fixtures. The work will also include: building demolition, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, extension of utilities to the site, foundation drainage systems, site utilities and chain link fencing. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A non-refundable check of $125.00 made payable to the DFAS/FTD, Limestone, Maine, is required for each set of plans and specifications, and bid documents are available from the USPFO for Alabama, ATTN: AL-US-P, P O Box 3715, Montgomery, AL, 36109-0715. Plans and specifications will be available for reviewing at the F W Dodge Plans Room, Montgomery, AL and at the office of the Base Civil Engineer, Dannelly Field (ANG), Montgomery, AL. This project is 100% unrestricted. IFB Number DAHA01 98 B 0001 will be issued with an anticipated issue date of January 30, 1998 and a bid opening on or about March 31, 1998. (0350)
