THE FLOATING DOCK AT STATION SUISLAW RIVER, FLORENCE, OR. Furnish all
labor, materials, and equipment necessary to modify the existing
floating dock at Station Suislaw River. The work includes, but is not
limited to, the following: (A) Removal of one 18" diameter timber guide
pile an two 12" diameter dolphin piles. (B) removal of girts and
skirting form the existing covered mooring piles as indicated in the
drawings; installation of one new 18" diameter steel guide pile; (D)
modifications and additions to the existing interior concrete float
including the installation of new guide pile hoops; (E) relocation of
the existing gangway and gangway gate including the installation of new
gangway support brackets; (F) relocation of existing mechanical
elements including water and compressed air lines and fittings; (G)
removal of three (3) existing electrical shoretie systems; (H)
installation of two (2) new electrical shoreties; (I) relocation of
existing power receptacles, electrical conduits, and phone lines in
conjunction with the concrete float modifications and gangway
relocation; (J) replacement of utility support brackets along the
existing gangway. Estimated range is $100,000 to 250,000. Performance
period is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This
procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration program and is open to large and small business
participation. The applicable SIC code is 1799. Small Business size
standard is $7.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid,
which will be considered. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION BEING

of Transportation (DOT Office of Small and Disadvantage Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to
apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
