It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine to procure on a sole source basic with Institute of Scientific Information (ISI), Research Services Group, 3501 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 to provide professional services for the following: a) providing publication and citation data from the (ISI) to evaluate the National Research Service Award (NRSA) postdoctoral training programs; and b) using existing data sources provided by the ISI to examine publication tract records (e.g., numbers of publications and citations at various career stages) of trainees and fellows, and along with individuals in appropriate comparison. ISI maintains this database on publications and citations to examine research career outcomes for NRSA postdoctoral training programs. This strategy is being used to evaluate publication track records. The Office of Research Training and Special Programs Office requires a consistency of strategy in this project for sufficient statistical precision and accuracy. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide professional service as specified and listed above. Responses should sufficiently demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the government's requirements. This is not a request for quotations, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the National Library of Medicine.
