Z -- REBUILD SANDY HOOK FRONT RANGE LT AND BERGEN POINT LT #14 SOL DTCGG1-98-B-3WK073 DUE 022798 POC Ms. Jodi Ruggiero, Contract Specialist, (401) 736-1785 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to rebuild Sandy Hook Front Range Light and Bergen Point Light #14. Work includes demolition and rebuilding of two Aids to Navigation structures in the New York Harbor area. Sandy Hook Front Range Light located 1 nautical mile northeast of the northern tip of Sandy Hook Point, NJ, is a three pile structure supporting a 25 ft standard 5 ft x 5 ft pipe tower. This structure will require demolition and replacement in kind. Bergen Point Light #14 located at the meeting of the Kill Van Kull Channel and Newark Bay Channel is a four pile structure supporting a 11 ft x 11 ft x 4 ft concrete deck and 25 ft standard pipe tower. This structure shall be removed from the bottom of the channel and a new structure rebuilt in kind. Both sites require surveys to be complete prior to and after construction to verify accurate positioning. Marine experience is required to accomplish this work. Completion time is 120 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
