The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), intends to contract for AV-8B Remanufacture Joint Program requirements with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, for a Multi-year procurement for FY 98-01. The FY 98-01 AV-8B Multi-year Program consists of forty-four (44) AV-8B remanufactured aircraft. Additionally, NAVAIR will contract for integrated logistics support; sustaining build engineering; modification kits; publications management support; technical manuals; spares and repair parts; interim support spares; contractor engineering and technical services; technical, administrative and financial data; and associated material/services including modification and restoration of Government Furnished Property. An option will be included for ten (10) AV-8B remanufactured aircraft for Spain. McDonnell Douglas Corporation, with British Aerospace as a subcontractor, is the prime developer, integrator and sole producer of the AV-8B aircraft. (0009)
