D -- SUPPORT OF XCOMS SOFTWARE SOL XCOMS POC Ruth Kenton, Contracting Officer, 913-684-2971 Notice of intent to negotiate a simplified acquisition contract for support of XCOMS software applications with Vector Research, Inc., under authority of FAR 6.302. Support will include, but not be limited to, maintenance of the most current XCOMS-based software; identification of functional/technical errors; debugging/correction of code; limited changes to application; installation, training, demonstration support; research for integration with other applications; support users in collection efforts for Army or Joint exercises or opeations -- both execution and operation phases. Support will be required by 27 Jan 98. SIC assigned is 7379. Contractor's with expertise in development of CALLCOMS and JCOMS software may identify their interest in and capabilities to respond to this requirement by faxing pertinent information concerning CALLCOMS/JCOMS expertise to 913-684-3858 (Ruth Kenton) NLT 26 Jan 98. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses to this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
