GSA POST AWARD FTS2001 NETWORKING SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT The General Services Administration's (GSA) Office of Enterprice Development (OED), inconjunction with GSA's FEderak Telecommunicataions Service, is hosting a networking sesioon for small, small disadvantaged, and, and women-owned small businesses to meet with the prime contract winners for the Technical and Management Services (TMS) portion of the FTS 2001 acquisition. The FTS2001 acquisition is a multi-billion dollar voice/data communications system procurement for the Federal Government. Eight contracts were awarded under the TMS portion of the acquisition to large and small businesses: SETA Corporation; SHERIKON, Inc; Booz -Allen& Hamilton; UNISYS Corporation; BDM International, Inc; The Boeing Company; DYNCORP; and SAIC International Corp. THIS NETWORKING SESSION IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE THE PRIME CONTRACTORS WITH THE OPPORUTNITY TO MEET WITH SMALL, MINORITY, AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES WHOMAY BE CONSIDERED AS SUPPLIERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS, BECAUSE THEY POSSESS SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF THEIR CONTRACTS. Skills required under the FTS2001 TMS acquisition include: Local network arrangement, implementation and maintenance, Data capture/processing, Word processing, Business information analysis, Training programs, ADP, networking, and telecommncations support, Communication installation and wiring, Systems integration suport application, Systems engineering and integration. To ensure that the prime contractors and the small business representatives have effective communcations for establishing a relationship, only the first 100 small businesses to register will be allowed to participate in this networking session.
