The Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific is proposing a contract for the drydocking and repairs of the USCGC LONG ISLAND homeported Monterey, CA. The work shall be performed at the contractor's facility. The period of performance commences 06 April and ending 15 May 1998. Major work items include and not limited to drydocking/hauling, temporary services, bridge interior deck replacement, reference electrode renewal for the cathodic protection, freeboard preservation, superstructure preservation, sewage and grey water tank cleaning and inspection, sewage pump overhaul, fin stabilizer system quadrennial overhaul, rudder/rudder stock removal and reinstallation, brominator installation (S/A 110-A-051), sea valve overhaul, and miscellaneous pump overhaul. The solicitation is under the Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation will be issued on or about 02 February 1998.
