DUE 020398 POC Contact Joe Sauceda Jr., Contract Specialist, (210) 657-5804, FAX (210) 652-6309 The Air Forces Services Agency, Club Division, in San Antonio, Texas, is exploring the possibility of contracting or franchising with National Brand casual theme and quick service restaurant chains. This Request for Information (RFI) is extended to those National Brand casual theme or quick service restaurant chains interested in operating on Air Force installations at various locations in the continental United States, Europe and the Pacific. National Brand restaurants would operate in place of or complement existing Air Force Services operated restaurants, club dining facilities, or operations like golf or bowling snack facilities. Typically, these National Brand outlets will be located in existing buildings and free-standing new construction will not be required. The casual theme restaurants would be located primarily in clubs, and their operations would normally include sit-down dining, bar and lounge operations, and entertainment activities such as DJs/VJs, NTN Interactive, live bands, etc. Quick service restaurants would be located primarily in clubs, base restaurants, and operations like golf and bowling facilities. If your company is interested, please provide all information which is available on your company to the AFNAF Purchasing Office to arrive no later than 03 FEB 98. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. No response will be forthcoming to the respondents of this notice. This is a nonappropriated fund requirement and does not involve funds of the United States Government. These funds are generated by the military community through sales of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs.
