Y -- CONSTRUCT STAFF TRAINING CENTER PARKING LOT SOL IFB# 442-0012 DUE 032498 POC Dan Carroll, Supervisory Contract Specialist (304) 256-4924 The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision and equipment to construct an asphalt paved parking lot for the FCI Beckley -- Staff Training Facility, located in Beaver, WV, Project # CE6, IFB#442-0012. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Government's specifications and construction drawings. Approximate dimensions of parking lot are 240' long by 150' wide. The project magnitude is within the estimated range of $25,000 to $100,000. Work shall include the placement of a 4" thick aggregate base course upon a prepared subgrade (Government will prepare subgrade prior to Contractor starting work), a 2-1/2" bituminous concrete base and a 1-1/2" bituminous concrete surface. Prior to the Contractor starting work, the Contractor shall inspect and notify the Government Project Rep. of any changes or modifications to the subgrade if needed. The Contractor must also provide an alternate bid to include the parking and traffic markings indicated on the Government's construction gradings. The estimated issue date of the invitation for bid is February 18, 1998, with a Bid Opening date of March 24, 1998. A Pre-bid Meeting/Site Visit is scheduled for March 4, 1998. The Contractor's attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is highly recommended and strongly encouraged due to the location and work environment in which this project will be conducted. The Pre-Bid Meeting will be the only site visit for this project. The anticipated date of award is on or about April 2, 1998. This project is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The project completion time is 30 calendar days. Requests for solicitation packages shall be submitted in writing to: Federal Correctional Institution, P.O. Box 1280, Beaver, WV 25813, Attn: Dan Carroll, Supervisory Contract Specialist. A non-refundable deposit in the amount of $15.00 is required for each solicitation package requested. All deposits shall be made payable to the United States Treasury, and sent to the Contracting Officer listed above. This fee is to cover the administrative and reproduction costs for the issuance of the solicitation package.
