Hall, Jr., Contract Specialist, (202)324-4929 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate with Howell Intelligence Service, on a sole source basis, for the purchase of forty each of Viewcom, VM3, Phoneline Video Transceiver w/PCMCIA 33K modem and for twenty-one each of VM3 remote controls. These items will be delivered to the Federal Bureau of Investigation office located in Quantico, Virginia. Delivery of these items will be expected by 3/12/98. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-46. The proposed procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for other than maximum competition. This is a small business-small purchase set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) 5045, and the size standard is based on employees numbering less than 750.
