The Lockheed P-3 Orion operated by Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) is equipped with a X-band and C-band weather radar. In order to drive each antenna in azimuth and elevation, they require a J71-A antenna drive motor. The AOC antenna pedestals currently contain these motors built by MPC Products Corporation. The motors must physically and electronically fit into the pedestals and interface with an Antenna Servo Amplifier Unit (ASAU). These units contain the MPC Servo amplifiers 614-J72-A 120W to drive the antenna. The Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified supply and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar services. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to 816-426-7530. This is not a request for proposals and there is no Request for Quotation at this time. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
