bpeavler@usia.gov. The International Bureau of Broadcasting is seeking
sources for potential projects involving structural analysis of
antenna towers. The A/E firms would have the ability to perform
structural analysis of multiple steel towers up to 475 feet high,
interconnected by short-wave curtain antennas and maintenance catenary
cables. This potential work would take into account the effects of
tower interconnectivity by modeling and analyzing all towers, their
curtain antenna loadings (provided by others), and their crossarms
(including maintenance catenaries), as a single structure. A
commercially-available or proprietary computer analysis software would
be used. Interested firms should submit a copy of their SF 254 or
other written evidence of expertise and experience in this type of
tower analysis. (0026) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0025 19980129\C-0001.SOL)
