SOL N68335-98-R-0090 DUE 022798 POC Brian Johnson, Code 223BJ, (732)323-5373 NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Lakehurst Naval Air Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Task Order type contract with Eldyne, Inc. The proposed contract will provide for the maintenance, upgrade, and repair of all components of the TD-1459A/U, and TD-1459A/U articles installed in the AN/TSC-147. The TD-1459A/U provides for the real-time tactical remoting capability for the USAF an/TSC-147 systems and the USMC AN/TSC-131 systems. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. Lakehurst Naval Air Warfare Center believes that Eldyne, Inc. is the only source possessing the existing software development tools and specially developed proprietary simulators/drivers to allow for the maintenance of the real-time Ada executive kernel, and uploading of new firmware to COTS cards that are contained within the TD-1459A/U. No solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide these services are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit information which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
