This project include all plant, labor, equipment, materials, performance neessary to remove and replace the military family housing office at Mcconnell AFF, Ks. This project will entirely demolish the existing one story MFH office and replace it with larger one story office on the same site. Approximately 1851 sq ft will be demolished and a 3215 sq ft will be constructed. The site is in military family housing and adjacent to a major thoroughfare. Major construction steps include pouring a new foundation, reconfiguration of the parking area, connection to existing underground utilities, installation of a fire hydrant and 250 foot water line, construction of a brick/EIFS/glass veneer and composition shingle roof, completion of all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, addition of a walled outdoor play area, and minor landscaping around the new structure. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB solicitation number F14614-98-B0003 is 20 Feb 98. Tentative bid opening date 20 Mar 98. Performance period will be 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Standard classification code (SIC) is 1542. This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. No telephone requests for solicitation packages will be honored. All requests for solicitation packages or plan holders list must be in writing.
