R -- SURVEY DEVELOPMENT SOL 263-98-Q-M5-0484 DUE 022798 POC Sabrina Lindsay, 301-496-3704 The purpose of this project is to survey individuals to determine their views on research advance directives and genetic testing. This is a multiple task order where a variety of patients, diseases may be surveyed(i.e. Alzheimer's patients, normal volunteers, oncology patients, etc.) In addition, the study will describe why subjects participate in early clinical trials. The purpose of the contract is to facilitate survey development and actual surveying to attempt to answer the research questions. The contractor will be required to assist the investigator with the development and refinement of related survey instruments, including focus groups and instrument pre-testing, working closeley with the investigator. Contracto will supply, train, and oversee interviewers to administer the survey instruments to subjects both ath the the data and enter the data into a database. The contractor will collaborate with the investigators in the publications and reporting of study results. (0036)
