The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a Non-Personal services contract for Opthamologist Services. Duties are to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland, Maryland. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the institution will be required to submit to Security Clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the government, price and price related factors considered. Services will be required during the normal work week, an estimated one (1) session per quarter (1 session = 4 hours), for an estimated four (4) sessions per year. The base year of the contract shall run for 12 months from the date of award with four (4) one year options periods for renewal, with an anticipated award date of October 1, 1998. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be mailed approximately March 10, 1998 with an approximate due date of May 7, 1998. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered for award.
