The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire maintenance, supply, and inventory control support services, in support of the Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), Corry Station, Pensacola, FL, under the Small Business Administration Section 8(a) Set-Aside Contracting Program pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.204 "Section 8(a) Competition." The successful offeror shall be required to troubleshoot, test, modify, calibrate, align, install, maintain, and repair electronic (vacuum tube and solid state), electrical, and mechanical equipment; perform routine supply functions in support of acquisition and requisition of parts and supplies, including consumables for the schools; and maintain inventory accountability and tracking. The period of performance consists of a twelve month base period commencing on 1 Oct 98 plus four, twelve month options. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. The applicable standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 8744. Only those firms certified as a SBA 8(a) firm under SIC code 8744 are considered eligible for this requirement.
