Contact Julie Shaddock, Contract Specialist, (850)882-8280, Kim
Williams, Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test Center
(AFDTC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole
source, firm-fixed priced contract under Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items to Microdyne
Corp, 491 Oak Rd, Ocala, FL for the delivery of a Wideband Conversion
Kit, for 1400-MRA Telemetry Receiver P/N 1400-WBA(C). The kit contains
all the items required to convert a standard model 1400-MR or a MRA
receiver to a 1400-WB or a WBA wideband configuration for telemetry
applications including RPV-TV. The kit is designed for user
installation and consists of the five internal replacement plug-in
assemblies are as follows: A18-WB 2nd Mixer, A10-WB VFO/Multiplier,
A17-WB Reference Oscillator, A19-WB 1st IF Filter, A9-WB IF
Distribution/AM Detector, A11-WB Video Filter Module. Wideband PM
Demodulator w/Video De-Emphasis Switch, P/N 1448-WB. The 1448-WB FM
Demodulator is designed for use with the Microdyne wideband telemetry
receiver. The demodulator is a wideband discriminator which accepts a
70 MHz input and provides a video output a deviation meter drive
voltage. The 1448-WB provides wideband FM demodulation over the full
range of second IF bandwidths. Wideband Filter, Selectable Bandwidths
from: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 36, 40 MHz Dual Bandwidth P/N 1420-WB. IF
bandwidths from 5 MHz to 40 MHz are available in this series. Their
function is to establish and amplify the 70 MHz second IF in the
receiver; each filter exhibits a phase linearity of + -- degrees over
100% of the -3 dB bandwidth. RF Turner w/1435-1540 and 2185-2485 MHz
Tuning Range P/N 14414. The 1400 series RF Tuners are designed as front
panel plug-in units for use in the 1400-MR Telemetry Receiver. They are
designed as single and dual band tuners and utilize two local
oscillator signals to down convert a wide variety of RF input signals.
