Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the facilities
and services of a qualified hotel to provide guest rooms, meeting rooms
and related services for the Large Bank EIC Conference which shall be
held sometime between August 30 and October 29, 1998. There will be
approximately 350 attendees for the three day meeting. The estimated
maximum number of sleeping rooms is 342 for each of three nights. There
will be an estimated maximum of the following events: three general
sessions (approximately 350 classroom style); twenty concurrent
sessions (approximately 50 classroom style each); two receptions
(approximately 300 people each); three continental breakfasts
(approximately 250 people each); three luncheons (approximately 300
people at each); one dinner (approximately 300 people). To be eligible
for award of this contract, the hotel must be 1) located in a major
metropolitan area in the continental U.S.; 2) compliant with the Hotel
and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law
101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 3) be compliant with
the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq.
(ADA); and 4) have one of the following quality ratings: First class or
higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil
Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher
per the OAG Business Travel Planner. The OCC anticipates issuing the
solicitation on or about March 4, 1998. The date for receipt of
proposals will be twenty one (21) days from the solicitation date of
issue. All interested hotels may submit a proposal, based on the
solicitation requirements, which shall be considered by the OCC. Please
