THIS IS A REQUEST A 5 YEAR REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT FOR A QUANTITY OF 500 UNITS. THE SOLICITATION WILL INCLUDE A PURCHASE DESCRIPTION UNDER GMG CODE TSTTQ-D DATED 19 FEBRUARY 1998 FOR A TELECOMMUNICATIONS TEST SET THAT CAN BE DOWNLOADED FORM THE WWW SITE AT http://gpete-www.itd.nrl.navy.mil through the Standard Test Equipment Access and the Purchase Description Section Database. Furthermore, the Special instructions for GPETE and Calibration Equipment can be downloaded from www site at http://www.navsup.navy.mil/ under libraries. If prospective offerors can meet the intent and parameters of the purchase description then copies of the solicitation can be requested from the designated Contract Specialist in item#16. The solicitation closing date is slated for on or around 15 April 1998. Only technical proposals are required when the solicitation closes. Pricing information will be required when technical acceptability of equipment is determined. The technical evaluation will include a thorough review of thetechnical proposals and eventual bid sample testing of the proposed equipment at a designated test activity. (0058)
