The U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase 50 each Singal Block Assemblies, odd numbers 1-29 and Signal Block Assemblies, even numbers 4-30. The government intends to purchase 50 of each for a total of 100 Signal Block Assemblies. These items are being purchased in support of the National Weather Service repair programs. The items were originally provided by the Electro Miniature Corporation, cage code 17399, p/n C2263-20-1 and p/n C2263-20-2. The Government intends to purchase these devises from Electro Miniature Corporation. The Government knows of no other qualified source. The spare part will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. As these parts are in support of current repair programs alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The Government does not have specifications or drawings for these items. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). The Government knows of only one qualified source authorized to provide the device referenced. Any other small business sources able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after it's publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for a businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the item. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR part 13. The anticipated award date shall be within 20 calendar days of date of this announcement. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3679. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
