(VAWNYHCS) at Buffalo, NY is seeking 2 qualified, board certified
radiologists to support the Radiology Service at this facility.
Radiologists providing service will be required to submit their
credentials for credentialing by the professional standards board of
this facility. Radiologists providing services will, in accordance with
the latest JCAHO accreditation manual, have delineated clinical
privileges for the types of radiology services they provide. Also, in
accordance with the latest accreditation manual for hospitals (Medical
Staff Section) recommendations from peers, i.e., appropriate
practitioners in the same professional discipline as the diagnostic
radiologist who possess the same first hand knowledge would be part of
the practitioners file and reflect their credentials. This is based on
the actual review of the professional work performed by the radiologist
. Attendance at Radiology staff meetings, on call, meeting all VA
Health Standards for employment of VA personnel as specified by VA
Regulations and OSHA are required and are to be provided at no
additional cost to the Government. Hours of coverage will be 40 hours
per week, evenings or weekends and on call during non-administrative
hours. Offerors are requested to provide price estimates for the
following workload which shall include reading and interpretation of
films for Skull, inc. Sinus, Jaw, etc., Chest, Abdomen, Skeletal/Spine,
Skeletal/bone joint, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Cerebral, Peripheral and
Interventional Angiograms. Pertinent information should be sent to
