COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 11,1998 PSA#2049Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Dr., Suite 200, USAF
Academy, CO 80840-2315 B -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON SOURCES FOR ANALYSIS DUE 033198 POC Lt
Col Irvin Lee, 719-333-2430, Contracting Officer, Jean E. Goforth,
719-333-2074 Request for Information from sources who professionally
perform maintenance analysis for both commercial industry and military
installations to assess and improve current USAF Academy Civil
Engineering Squadron functions and responsibilities. Sources are
requested to provide any packages for review and information to include
examples of similar studies, assessments, and improvement plans;
resumes of vendor's employees routinely involved in studies; point of
contact, address, and telephone number of references of companies of
which vendor has performed studies/analyses and recommendation plans.
Vendors should also include a list of consultants normally included in
similar analyses and state their business size. Vendors are encouraged
to provide packages illustrating the capability to perform technical
audits of recurring maintenance schedules for HVAC, mechanical,
electrical, plumbing, and related facility systems. A sample of any
phased analysis, and/or strategic improvement plan previously developed
and implemented would be helpful. Vendors submitting information
packages are asked to provide examples where they have benchmarked an
organization's existing performance and functions, identified strengths
and improvement opportunities, and provided an infrastructure for
addressing improvement opportunities through development of a strategic
improvement plan. If improvement plan implementation has also been
accomplished, request vendors provide samples of implementation plans.
Vendors packages should separately identify the length of time
routinely necessary to perform the analyses, develop the improvement
plans, and implement the improvements. A rough order of magnitude cost
estimate for performing the analysis, developing the improvement plan,
and implementation is requested. Packages may be submitted to 10th
Civil Engineering Squadron, ATTN: Lt Col Irvin Lee, 8120 Edgerton
Drive, USAF Academy CO 80840-2400 until 4:30 PM, Mountain Standard
Time, 31 March 1998. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Interested vendors
with additional questions are asked to call Lt Col Lee at (719)
