The National Park Service is solicitating proposals (in the form of a negotiated firm-fixed price contract requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The work of the project consists of construction of 4 two-story additions to the existing Administration Building. Materials of construction to include reinforced concrete, masonry, precast/prestressed floor slabs, and wood framing and siding. Installing a Government-purchased 30,000 gallon propane tank. The tank shall be buried behind a new reinforced concrete retaining wall to be constructed under this contract. Providing and installing a propane gas leak detection system in the Energy Center Building. Miscellaneous improvements, including pavement marking related, to designate a helicopter landing area at an existing concrete parking area. Vehicle control gate improvements to provide either standard or crash-resistant gates. Utilities improvements related to the above, including propane, water, sewer, heating, cooling, ventilation, and electrical components. Estimated price range, $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. Time for completion, 205 calendar days. Bid opening date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time bidding documents are available.
