The University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, seeks Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Small Women Owned Business sources for LASER BAY STRUCTURAL SUPPORT CONCRETE PEDESTALS for Special Equipment support structures. Prospective sources must have personnel experienced in 18" -- 24" vertical concrete wall placement and capabilities in areas such as: 1) Construction Bonding to $5M and Insurance to $3M; 2) Fast Track Scheduling; 3) Reinforcing Steel and Vertical Wall Forming; 4) Imbedded Plates and Bolts; 5) Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage; 6) California State Contractors License. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this work is 1771. The small business size standard is $7,000,000. Firms qualifying as a Small Business with respect to this standard should so state. Responses are required no later than close of business three (3) weeks after publication in the CBD. LLNL will pre-qualify all firms performing work on the Special Equipment pedestals. Interested firms should respond with a one page narrative of your company's capabilities and past experience in vertical concrete pedestal work, including your company's insurance EMR for the last three years. In addition to the narrative, interested firms must submit a short list of recent projects completed that closely match the work described above. This list must include names and telephone numbers of the owner, engineer, architect or General Contractor familiar with the work performed. A short list will be developed from those companies submitting qualification narratives. The short listed companies will be visited by project personnel to view their capacity and plant resources. A sufficient number of qualified firms will be chosen to competitively bid on the concrete pedestal work. Firms responding to this announcement which fail to provide the required information will not be considered for inclusion into any resulting source list.
