Z -- DESIGN AND FABRICATE AIRCRAFT SPRAY PAINT BOOTH INSERT SOL FA6648-98-B0001 DUE 051698 POC Billie Jo Cherico, (305)224-7473 Scope of Work is to design, fabricate, and installing an aircraft paint spray booth (PSB) insert into an existing facility at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. Facility is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Work includes but is not limited to providing and installing the PSB; modifying Bldg 194 where the PSB is to be located; and obtaining all environmental permits necessary for installation and successful operation of the PSB. Contractor shall also provide all support systems necessary to assure the PSB complies with state and local environmental requires, based on emission rates set forth by the state of Florida. The design and installation of all required utilities from various specified points of the connection to the PSB, will also be the responsibility of the contractor. The PSB shall be 54 feet wide, 64' 6" long and 22' high at the tail section. The paint spry booth inset shall accommodate fighter type aircraft, F16C1D Falcon, HH60G and shall include lighting fixtures, utility connections, ventilation systems, fire protection systems, environmental pollution controls, and other components necessary to form a complete paint spray both. Paint booth manufacturers must have been in manufacturing at a minimum since 1 Jan 93. Must have a minimum of 5 years supervising aircraft paint booth installations, and must provide a listing of similar installations over the last 5 years. General contractors, bidding as prime contractors, must have been installing aircraft paint booths since 1 Jan 93 as a minimum. They also must provide a list of similar installations completed over the last 5 years as a minimum. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1541. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1M. Project performance period is 150 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 10 Apr 98. Dates are for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the IFB. This solicitation is unrestricted is open to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns.
