The livefire complex presently includes seventy ranges, consisting of ten multi-use and sixty small arms ranges. Force XXI digitization, other modernization and government initiatives are expected to change the number and type of ranges during the life of the contract. The resulting contract will be a Cost Plus Award Fee type contract for the period 1 October 1999 through 30 September 00 plus four one-year options. Offerors shall have an approved accounting system. The Government intends to issue a Draft Solicitation o/a 01 July 1998 for comments with responses due 30 July 1998. A site visit and conference will be scheduled during this period. Time and date for the site visit and conference will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be competed following the guidelines of Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 -- Performance of Commercial Activities. Request for Solicitation Number DAKF48-98-R-0004 must be in writing and contain company name, point of contact, address, phone and fax number, large or small business, and indicate that your company is not currently on the List of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement or Non-Procurement Programs. The SIC for this acquisition is 8744, Facilities Support Management Services, $5M.
