K -- UPGRADE CHILLER SOL 629-15-98 DUE 051998 POC Shrylin S. Lewis, Contract Specialist, (504) 568-0811, extension 3254 Provide all engineering, labor, materials, and expert supervision to upgrade existing R-11 Chiller for R123 use. (Chiller -- Trane CVHE -- 0711). Contractor will install new hermetic motor that is specifically designed for R123 service. Contractor shall provide all the necessary engineering, machine shop work, and parts selection necessary to insure that the converted machine will operate at no less than 90% of its original capacity at original design KW. Work may include but is not limited to -- replacing existing starter, remove and replace all gaskets and o-rings, remove existing Chiller controller and replace with a new microprocessor based control panel. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds and a 90 day bid acceptance period is mandatory. Solicitation issue date is on or about April 7, 1998.
